Hello all , I can recall a long time back when I was in New York City staying at The Gramercy Park Hotel
(23rd street and Lexington) meeting Beatle George Harrison.....! ...He was a regular guy....no fake crap at all....he was getting off the elevator when I was getting on and we actually bumped into each other which resulted in a smile and a laugh.....and get this.....he said hello and asked me where Leon Russel's room was....which was actually where I had just come out of ......So I pointed down the hall and he thanked me as he walked away to his destination.....He looked like me....thin with shoulder length hair
.....which was once a rage.......denim pants.....a woven multi colored cloth Indian/Hippie type vest.....light brown suede moccasins on his feet......a big silver and turqoise belt buckle on his black leather belt.....I stood there in sweet awe of the man who had influenced me in so many ways....And there he stood knocking at the rooms door..... and when it opened he looked over to me and waved so long.....It was a scene out of "A Hard Day's Night".....But I was not done .....I just had to see him again....So I went downstairs and sat on the couch in the lobby.....strategically positioned so that I would see him again whenever he would surface.......and my wish came true.....within a half hour he along with Leon Russel walked off the elevator and I said hello to both men.....Leon asked me why I was still in the hotel and I said I wanted to rest a bit..... he laughed and that was that......Hollywood Joe
